Codex Lifeboat
Codex Lifeboat is a portable, open-source Windows application for backing up and verifying a local Codex environment, then restoring it on the same or another Windows PC. A backup can include projects, local conversations, attachments, skills and portable settings. Machine-specific login and installation data are not transferred.
The application uses SHA-256 checks, a comparison plan for conflicts and a safety copy before restoration. The backup itself is not encrypted and may contain confidential project files, so store and transport it carefully.
The repository names version 3.4.5 for Windows 10 and 11 x64. The software is MIT-licensed and an independent community project, not an official OpenAI product.
