MechScript is responsible for the processing described on this page and can be contacted at info@mechscript.nl for privacy questions or requests.
When you visit the public website, the hosting provider may process technical log data such as an IP address, requested page, browser information, date, and time. This is necessary for secure and reliable website delivery and abuse prevention.
The public website does not currently use analytics, advertising profiles, marketing cookies, or automated decision-making. WordPress may use essential cookies for signed-in administrators; these are not used to track public visitors for marketing.
When you use the contact form, MechScript processes your name, email address, selected subject, message, security challenge and limited technical anti-abuse data in order to answer your request. The message is delivered to the MechScript mailbox and is not stored as a public WordPress item.
When you submit an article, MechScript additionally processes the proposed title, category, summary, article text, authorship preference, optional link, notes and up to five validated attachments. This is used only to assess the contribution, discuss editorial changes and, after separate agreement, prepare publication. Nothing is published automatically.
Technical data is not sold. It is only shared with parties needed to operate and secure the website, such as the hosting provider, under the applicable agreements and legal obligations.
Contact messages and rejected submissions are removed from the mailbox no later than twelve months after the matter is completed, unless a legal obligation or dispute requires longer retention. Material accepted for publication may be retained as long as needed for the editorial record and publication agreement.
You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, or portability of your personal data, and you may object to processing where the law provides this right. Send a request to info@mechscript.nl; identity verification may be required to protect your data.
You may lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority if you believe personal data is being handled unlawfully.
This policy is updated when the website starts processing data in a new way. The current version applies from 27 September 2026.
